OBJECTIVES

- Describe current approaches to the management of common and complex anorectal problems.

- Outline surgical procedures for benigh colonic disease and approaches to colonic emergencies.

- Recognize approaches to follow-up and adjuvant therapy of
colorectal cancer.

- Describe current indications, complications, and issues in laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery

- Outline the medical and surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.

- Describe the physiology and managment of abnormalities of the pelvic floor.
